On October 6th of this year I turned 25+4 years. During my birthday, I started a self-evaluation along with my family, love life, social life as well as my business. I started to think: I had an amazing clientele and was so glad that I was able to make this venture of design my full time job. In doing this I also decided it was time that I gave off the presence of a young sophisticated woman that could compete in the game. Granted I loved my old brand identity, for me the hot pink and purple I believe should stay in my 20’s (just my opinion I have seen some amazing things done with those colors). I however, wanted my brand to feel “established”.
I decided to first play with the name. Casey Renae is my legal birth first and middle name but I wanted more to show my services…drum roll… Casey Renae Design Agency. So after that lucky 10-minute decision, it was time to pick the colors and the tone. That ladies and gentlemen was the hardest part. I wanted to make sure that this time I was gender neutral along with appealing to a demographic that have a bigger budget then my previous years AND it all had to scream Casey Renae.
(Tip: If you are interested in personal branding, don’t be scared to be true to yourself. One should embrace the things they like in their style. Your competitors may all be using stripes and Helvetica font but if you hate them why use it?)
I then sat down and evaluated the things I liked to do plus my style. In my mood board you will see white wine at night (the inspiration for the dark blue), purple hair that I had a while ago (and is my favorite color) and so on. Doing this made it very easy to create the revamp that I know and love and I hope you will as well. Welcome to the new Casey Renae Design Agency!
